Fires

During the Camp Pendelton Fires the kids and I headed down to Michael and Stephs and stayed with them from Wednesday-Sunday morning. We had a really fun time hanging out with them.  Fun playing games, playing the wii, swimming at the neighborhood pool, Stephs parents pool, BBQing, adult games, watching movies, and playing in the garage and backyard.  Taelin and Amika also had a fun time helping their cousins with their chores, and Kolby liked reading books to Taelin and Amika, it was really cute! I am glad that the firefighters worked as hard as they did so they could contain the fires quickly. There were fires everywhere.  I would much rather have snow days from school, than fire days...but I guess that's what we get for living in California.  I am glad that our home wasn't touched by the fire. 
This was also Rocky's first time meeting Brax and Harley, and it went way better than I thought it would go.  I was really nervous that Harley would eat Rocky....haha They were actually the best of friends.  Harley would lay down so he could be eye level with Rocky, and they would play together...having Rocky bite Harley's ear, and Harely biting Rocky's face.  Brax would get annoyed with Rocky (he's 6 yrs old...not so much puppy play all the time), and he would growl at Rocky. 
Thanks Michael and Steph for housing us for so many days! You guys were a HUGE life saver!
