Hard times

wow! this past week has been HARD! Taelin has been something else.  Not doing well at school, not earning bull dog bucks at school, not listening to his teacher at school or primary, goofing off, hitting people, kicking his friends, not sharing, saying mean words, and destroying things! It has been a trying week for me.  I know that part of it is becasue he is 5 years old, and part of it is the other reason.  He earns tokens for good behavior and gets stickers at the end of the day if he was good, and if he was good 10 days in a row he gets a prize, he gets rewarded for his good behavior.  We go to yogurtland, chucky cheese, beach, parks, friends houses, and stuff....but this doesn't seem to be helping.
I got this text from my mother in law "believe it or not this is a growing time for both you and Taelin.  You are becoming stronger than you ever knew you could be. Both for you and taelin.  He doesn't realize it but he needs your discipline and strength as the mom. You are the only stable thing in his little world right now.  And unfortunately it's easy to lash out at those we are closest to."  WOW!!! I love her! She was spot on!!! I cried and cried after I read what she sent me.  It's so true!! I am being tested and I am  here to grow.  I turned on conference so I could listen to the talks that were given yesterday and today, and COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS was the song they sang.  Totally hit home for me.

Love this song!! and will forever hold it dear to my heart and will try to count my blessings whenever I am going through a hard time.  I am so thankful for the prophet and the apostles and all I have learned and I hope that I can grow and that I can figure out a way to help Taelin be nice and kind again.
