EASTER

Easter morning was amazing!!!!! The kids LOVED coming down and seeing what was on the couch for them.  taelin has always LOVED clothes and shoes, and he just kept kissing his new suit and his new shoes.  Then he found his new church book MY VERY FIRST EASTER, and he started to kiss Jesus.  It was so adorable! I love how thankful he has always been.  Amika loved all of her eggs in her basket and loved opening them and finding candy.  Dalin was so kind and ate some of the candy and put the wrappers in her egg.....she didn't even care though. She went straight to the garbage to throw it away and then come back for another egg.  Rocky was sad he didn't get anything, so maybe next year we will get him a bone so he won't feel so left out. lol We watched some videos about Jesus and hung out before church.  Church was great. The missionaries are leaving and so they spoke, and their talks were wonderful.  We then headed over to the Johnsons house and got there around 4pm.  We ate dinner with them, went on an egg hunt, played at the park, and talked!:) It was so much fun to hang out with them again! Love that they are back from Japan~:)

Easter Fun

Yay for Daddy being home!! We had a great time today and Daddy was a great sport during it all....seeing that he was super tired and just wanted to sleep....I am thankful and I am sure the kids are super thankful for him playing with them.
The day started around 5am for Dalin and I...we cuddled and talked and ate cereal in bed together! I love having my time with him!:) Taelin came in our room around 630 and then Amika came around 7.  We all cuddled in bed, and that was so much fun! I love my family so much.  Taelin was super excited to dye Easter Eggs that he wanted to dye Easter Eggs right away! I told him that we had to do some things this morning and that we would dye them later in the day. He wasn't very happy about that, but he got over it.  He kept telling Dalin and I that his tummy needed to play a video game...and his tummy really needed to play the game that his friend Kyler is letting him borrow.....gosh the things he comes up with.  He's hilarious! Dalin made some amazing scrambled eggs this morning for the 2 of us and I cleaned out the fridge and the closet in the laundry room and did the laundry.  We all worked out together and I LOVED that! Dalin is a great instructor.  Today we worked on legs, and my legs are pretty sore.  I'm glad he pushed me though.  The kids were excited to show him how fast they could run on the treadmill.  We dyed our Easter Monster Eggs, which turned out super cute! The kids had so much fun doing it too.  Taelin had fun drawing on his eggs, and Amika loved putting stickers on her eggs.  They both loved picking what color they wanted their eggs to be.  Dalin and Taelin ordered some pizza and watched a movie while Amika napped and I got some me time.  Dalin then came to take a snoozer...and Im sure he could have slept the whole rest of the day....but we woke him up so he could BBQ our Salmon burgers.  They were DELICIOUS! I also played outside at the park with the kids.  Amika LOVES to swing with her best friend Annalise.  We also did chalk and bubbles and rode bikes and scooters.  I also hid the kids Easter eggs like 5 times so they could go on Easter Egg hunts through out the house.  THEY LOVED IT! It was so cute to see them run and find the eggs and to hear them giggle with excitement.   After we put the kids to bed Dalin and I put the candy in their eggs and put everything out for tomorrow morning:) I AM EXCITED FOR EASTER MORNING!:) I love the Easter holiday so much and I am excited to teach Taelin and Amika the real meaning of why we celebrate Easter.

FRIDAY!!

Yay for Friday!:)
I have always loved Friday, but this particular Friday was something special.  I got to help in Taelins preschool class today, and Dalin came home today from a 2 week training he was at.
The day started off with taking Taelin to speech, and while he was at speech Amika and I got to run to payless to get some Easter church shoes. 
This is how Olivia had to be in the car:) I love Amika's personality, and that she knows exactly what she wants.  She is a great shopper, and picked out her shoes and Taelins shoes:) Cannot wait for Easter Sunday!:)


















Taelin's class did an Easter Egg hunt which was super cute!  I got to hear his class practice singing YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE:) and that was adorable! I almost started crying! lol
I love how much Taelin has learned, and I love that he always wants to be Ms. Gunun and talks just like she does and does the things exactly like she does in her classroom.  They got to watch the movie Peter Rabbit while eating their Easter egg candy too.  I love you Taelin!!!

After school we went over to the Rollins house to pick up Amika.  Then we hurried over to Kohls to get Daddy a tie for Easter.  Taelin picked out such a good one:) When we got home I hurried and did some cleaning so the house would look nice for Dalin coming home.  I also boiled some eggs so we could color them tomorrow.  We played outside for a little bit with April and her 2 kids Kallista and Annalise, and then came inside and played until DADDY CALLED!! it was so great to see him calling on my phone!:) Not getting to see that for 2 weeks was hard, so this call totally made my day!
He told me that he was ready for us to pick him up:) and boy were we HAPPY!!!!!! The kids ran and hugged his leg and told him they loved him and Amika just kept saying DADDY, DADDY, DADDY and was giggling:) Rocky couldn't stop giving him kisses! We were all so excited to see him! And he was so excited to see us, but you could tell that he was so tired! He said he had been up for 27 hrs! WOW!! So we hurried home so we could all cuddle in bed and watch a movie:) YAY FOR DADDY BEING HOME!:)

At this again

Decided to take up Blogging again:) We shall see if I like it like I did in the past...:) Fingers crossed that I do! lol
Dalin has been gone for almost 2 weeks now, and we are READY for him to be home!!!! Friday cannot come quick enough! only 2 more days! YAY!!!!
The kids have been great, so that makes me a super happy mommy! Taelin is speaking so much better, and Amika just BLOWS my mind with the things she does.  She now kicks me out of her room when it is nap time and bed time because she has to shut the door.  She has always been Miss Independent, but I am ready for her to want my help and for her to stop getting so big!!! Taelin is being the best big brother and is teaching Amika how to do things:) It's adorable!! We all LOVE our new dog Rocky! He is still potty training, but I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel;) Starting to feed him a breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and just watching him very closely.  He is such a good dog and loves kids and is always so nice:) He is a little stinker though...he totally knows when we are getting ready to go and he runs, (and let me tell you he is FAST) under the bed or the couch so he won't have to go inside the kitchen. It gets frustrating when we are in a hurry, so I have Taelin trick him into playing with 1 of his toys and then have him grab him.  It's a great trick we have going on right now, we shall see if he ever learns our trick.  hopefully not!
Today we got to baby sit our friend Whitney Rollins boy Tayson from 820-1120.  He is such a good boy. He didn't cry 1 time! Amika liked showing him how to go potty, and liked showing him how to use her toys.  Rocky LOVED him! After we baby sat we took Taelin to school, and then Amika and I drove April and her daughter Annalise to the commissary so we could all get some groceries:) Took way longer than I wanted it to, but we got it done:) I started an eating clean diet last Friday and let me tell you, eating clean is GREAT, and I have totally noticed a difference in my mood and in myself, but it is EXPENSIVE. I have got to learn how to keep it on our budget, because I can now resist CHIPS!! YA...WHAT THE HECK....ME RESIST CHIPS....THAT'S NOT EVEN HEARD OF....BUT I CAN!!!L:) And I am so proud of myself!:) anyways, after grocery shopping I put Amika down...well nevermind...she put herself down.....and I un-loaded groceries and then made some lunch and watched Extreme Homemaker Edition.  I cried...like I always do.  It's just such an amazing show! Then it was time to go and get Taelin.  We all walked/scooter/rode bikes home and then spent the rest of the time out at the park.  Our friend Christinia and her boy Cooper came and hung out with us as well. We all had a great time:) Around 6pm we came inside for dinner and then we did showers and then watched a show on Netflix.  Amika put herself to bed again:( We didn't even get to finish her book before she kicked me out of her room:( It makes me so sad:( I know that she is just trying to be more and more independent, but it's still really hard on me.  I then read and cuddled with my sweet baby Taelin:) He got out of bed when I was talking to his Grammy (ReNea) and he wanted to talk to her. He then started being the teacher, and read us the fire men book, and just told us what we had to do and how we could earn stickers. it was so freaking adorable! He is such a cute teacher! he stayed up for about an hour later talking with us.  It was super fun and much needed:)
Oh, I also read a really good talk in the Ensign today called IF YOUR EYES BE SINGLE TO MY GLORY! I LOVED it and it really hit me on how important it is to be modest in our words and our dress.  Gosh I just love modern day revelation and the scriptures.  Im trying to start my day off with reading AND STUDYING them (something that I have never been good at) before I get out of bed.
